This race is one of the few races in Idaho that qualify for entry into the National Championships held in Sun Valley, ID. This is the premiere single-track course in Central Idaho, as well as U.S.Nationals qualifying EVENT*. You must possess an annual license, to qualify for Nationals.
*Riders may qualify here at Jug Mtn to race at the National Championships.
Male Pro (Elite), Category 1: 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40+ Junior: 14 & under
Female Pro (Elite) Category 1, 2, 3 (all ages)
also qualified here are Male Cat 2 and Cat 3 (all ages)
OK--Here is Long Valley's latest contribution to a awesome line-up of outdoor adventures. Patrick Harper and David Carey (plus help from IMBA last season) at Jug Mtn. Ranch Resort have put together a truly stellar course.
The mountain bike cross-country is using a similar 10-mile loop that starts and finishes at the clubhouse, that we used last year. This course has some really fun singletrack and two-track sections, as well as some gnarly, short climbs and descents.
The Saturday race starts 12:30. The XC bike race to follow the 9am (10mi.- 1 lap) trail running event.
ATTENTION:
All Super D racers will race on Sunday. Awards are given out to the fastest riders in XC and Super D in a All-Mtn catagory. So there is 1 champion for Pro, Cat.1, Cat.2, ect ect., male and female.
Awards to follow at the clubhouse. Food and beverage available at a discount in the restaurant.
Stick around on Sunday and compete or just be a spectator and take in a round of golf. Super D riders tackle a similiar course as we had last year about 2.5 mi. long!There will be a run up and a short, grunt climb at the end. YOU MAY REGISTER ON-SITE FOR ANY OF THESE EVENTS, STARTING AT 8AM!
