11th Annual XTERRA Wild Ride[Sunday, August 21st, 2016]
Kids Off-Road Triathlon event options following the XTERRA Wild Ride, main event @
Ponderosa State Park and all new this year for the kids----- a more cohesive 2 distance mountain bike course!
August 21st--XTERRA Wild Ride Triathlon--plus Kids Triathlon after main event!
Options for (Under 14) kids are a short or long course. Both options swim around inside the swimming area by the main visitor center, and lifejackets are optional. The bike course for kids is either 1.5 or 3 miles, on dirt and paved trails, but no hills, and the run course is either 1/3 or 2/3 mile. TEAMS of 2-3 kids available upon request.
Cost will be $20 for kids online, includes Park and Rec waiver. Each participant will receive a schwag bag. More information will be posted and distributed at registration. The price goes up to $25 on the day of the event, so don't wait to register your kids til the last minute.

Wild Rockies is proud to bring you Idaho’s original XTERRA event! Held at the stunning Ponderosa State Park
near McCall.The 11th Annual XTERRA Wild Ride features a 3/4 mile swim, a 18.5-mile mountain bike, and a 6.2 mi trail run (YES !!!the mtb loop is inside the Park riding counter-clockwise from the Vistor's Center Trailhead. This will be a slightly tweaked version from last year's loop--less pavement more dirt). There are spectacular sections of single-track that will be beckoning you to come back and ride/run even more.
XTERRA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP update 2016: Regional athletes now can qualify for the XTERRA World Championships in Maui by becoming age group Regional Champions. This is accomplished through competing in Regional Championships and other XTERRA races across the United States. You must compete in one event in your designated region. You can also gain valuable points at the Pan American Championship in September.
